The big organised firework displays are the best way to do Bonfire Night — and the worst place to try to park. Thousands of people, one field, a handful of exits, and everyone leaving at once the moment the finale fades. Here’s how to enjoy the bangs without the car-park gridlock.
The parking problem
Displays at parks and showgrounds around Sheffield and Chesterfield fill their car parks fast, and the roads around them crawl for a good hour afterwards. Add cold, tired children to that and it’s nobody’s idea of fun.
One warm minibus, there and back
Book a minibus with a driver and we drop you close to the entrance and collect you when it’s over — a warm car waiting instead of a long, cold walk to a distant field. No parking, no drink-drive worry if you’re making a night of it, and the whole family or group stays together.
The fireworks are the easy part. It’s the getting-home-warm-and-in-one-go part we take care of.
Book the Bonfire weekend early
The nights around the 5th are some of the busiest of the autumn. Tell us the display, the date and your numbers, and we’ll fix a price for there and back. Covering Sheffield, Chesterfield, Dronfield and the villages — see events & nights out travel.
