It feels early to mention the C-word in September — but if you’re planning the office do or a family festive night out, this is exactly the moment to sort the travel. December weekends book up fast, and the groups who leave it late are the ones scrambling for cars on the night.
Why December is different
Every firm’s Christmas party, every family meal out and every festive show lands in the same three or four weekends. Demand goes through the roof, taxi apps surge, and getting a whole group home together at 11pm becomes a genuine headache. Booking a minibus with a driver ahead of time takes all of that off the table.
One vehicle, no drink-drive dilemma
- The office party — everyone arrives together and nobody has to stay sober to drive the team home.
- Family nights out — a festive meal or a show in the city with no parking and no worry.
- Christmas markets & events — dropped at the door, collected when you’re ready.
The best-run Christmas do is the one where the only decision left on the night is whether to have one more.
Fixed price beats festive surge
We agree one price up front for the whole group, there and back — no meters, no midnight surge pricing when everyone in the city wants a cab at once. Split across the group, it’s usually less per head than separate taxis too.
